RYA Sea Survival Course

The RYA sea survival course is highly recommended for all who go to sea regularly. The RYA qualification is also a prerequisite for a Commercial Endorsement at DoT Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster level.

Format

The course is classroom based and also includes practical wet drills simulating emergency situations using real survival equipment.

Pool based practical wet drill

Classroom and pool facilities are co-located to maximise tuition time.

Equivalent to Day 1 of the ISAF Offshore course.
