| Southampton | 1 Day | The VHF Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the radio operator qualification that authorises the holder to operate a VHF radiotelephone fitted with Digital Selective Calling (DSC) on board any British vessel voluntarily fitted with radio equipment. It is recommended that anyone intending to skipper regularly takes this course. The qualification is a prerequisite for MCA Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster exams |

Day 1 introduces all the skills necessary to understand and carry out basic maintenance. Day 2 provides the opportunity to put theory into practice at sea and maintain essential items underway in simulated conditions. |
