This course is designed to provide a working knowledge of First Aid for people using small craft and to support skippers of yachts and motor vessels. It is MCA and HSE approved and fulfils the requirements of skippers of small craft working within 60 miles of a safe haven. Format The course is built around practical sessions covering all aspects of the syallabus. It uses ‘role playing’ and hands on experience to reinforce learning. Content Apply CPR techniques in difficult and different environments Treat minor injuries with both practical and theoretical knowledge Introduces the skills necessary to act with confidence to carry out your skills as a ‘first aider’in a marine environment Features Practical demonstrations and visual aids bring the theory to life! Real life experiences are used by the instructor (a trained paramedic) to emphasise key points and messages
