For the RYA/MCA Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster Offshore examinations, Ambition Sailing ensures thorough preparation by providing intensive practical and theory training. We operate a four-stage process as shown
| Discuss Individual Needs | Identification of individual training needs and the production of a personal preparation plan. |

| Shorebased Preparation (Optional) |
Depending on individual needs, clients may review some, or the entire shorebased syllabus at one of our shorebased training locations.
One weekend is usually adequate. |
| Practical Preparation | Either conducted as part of one of our RYA practical courses or as own boat tuition. Involves rigorous preparation, covering mooring, anchoring and manoeuvring under sail and power. We will ensure that you have ample opportunity to practice all complicated competencies, such as blind navigation, pile mooring, and night pilotage.
Typically 4 days practical training is required. |
| RYA / MCA Examination | We recommend that exam preparation is followed immediately by the MCA exam, which we are happy to arrange on your behalf. This usually lasts from 24-48 hours depending on the number of candidates. |

Fast Track Courses
Ambition Sailing do not offer Fast Track routes to Yachtmaster (Offshore) qualification. In certain circumstances we are happy to recommend high organizations with the same ethos as ourselves that provide this approach.
