Firstly, a big thank you to existing and new clients who have booked with us in 2009!
Hurtling towards 2010 after a fabulous white Xmas, no doubt your thoughts have switched to the year ahead and your plans for getting back out on the water! So while you are relaxing at home or cruising through a quiet couple of days at work anticipating the New Year celebrations what better time to have a browse through the latest newsletter and website.
2010 is a special year for Ambition Sailing. July marks our tenth anniversary. The business has come a long way since 2000 and now offers one of the widest range of activities available. These include a full range of RYA motor cruising and powerboating courses in addition to the many sailing courses and activities that form the core programme. Many of you may remember the original strap line 'desire for distinction' - this still holds true today, assuring you of top quality attention and instruction regardless of the activity or discipline. Indeed, many of our original instructors still work with us and many clients have become personal friends.
To celebrate 2010 we have a number of surprises in store which will be revealed through the year in these quarterly newsletters. Also a particular aspect of the business will be highlighted in each issue. So read on, enjoy, and contact us to fulfil your New Year's ambitions!
RYA Motor Cruising Courses

Oceanique, a Sealine 425 is probably the best specified and presented motor cruisng training boat available in the UK today.
Lead by Rob Dunning, our Chief Instructor for 8 years, and an RYA Yachtmaster Examiner, the dedicated team of instructors deliver all RYA courses and prepare students for RYA/MCA Exams.
The combination of Oceanique, dedicated instruction and high quality service ensures that we provide you with a winning combination for any motor cruisng activity. These include -
RYA Helmsman, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper courses and MCA YM Exam Prep

In addition, intensive boat handling courses are available to brush up your close quarter manouvring skills. Perhaps insufficient anticipation, a genuine emergency, or just a standard manouvre may result in a problem - the two day course ensures you are better prepared to cope, reducing your stress levels and increasing your enjoyment!
Ambition Sailing can also provide advice on motor cruiser ownership and purchase, and frequently provide cliients with confidence building instruction on their own boats.
If you wish to charter, we can advise on location, boats and work with our network of charter companies in the Mediterranean to ensure you gain maximum enjoyment from your holiday experience.

2010 Caribbean Regattas
Tobago Carnival Regatta (14-21 February)
Simply fly directly to Tobago and enjoy seven days of race training and racing; or arrive a week earlier in St Lucia for a fabulous blue water cruise through the Grenadines en route to the Tobago Carnival Regatta. Your yacht is a Swan 50, so whether racing or cruising, comfort is assured!
Antigua Sailing Week (22 April - 2 May)
We are taking bookings for 2010. Join us in April for one of the most famous regattas in the world. The location is fabulous and the partying isn't bad either!
Individual places available on our Beneteau 50. Performance options and skippered and bareboat charter options also available for those of you who can muster a full crew.
